It was founded in 1994 on the occasion of Vivekanand Jayanti. Its main motto is to provide care, warmth and affection to the little children. The best thing about the place is that children of any caste, region or religion are provided shelter here. Most of the children are in the age group of 3 – 7 years and are selected by the volunteers of Sevabharathi. Retired employees can also be part of Sneha Old Age Home who are being disrespected and neglected by their family members and the only condition for them to get admission here is that someone should bring them here and get admitted. That someone could be anyone; be it a family member, relative, village elder or even elected representative. There is no fee or any kind of charges for inmates.
