Society in Nandyal“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.” - Mahatma Gandhi
Beautifully said by the Great Mahatma Gandhi, these lines tries to tell us that we live in a society where you can find every kind of people, some of them are bad and some of them are good, some people care a lot about not just of their own relatives but also of unknown people while some people don’t care about anyone except themselves, but on an average basis you will find more people good than bad. So, no matter how bad a society is, you will always get someone who will care for a lot of people single handedly or with some help from others. Nandyal has many such people and many such places where poor and incapable of the society are taken care of everyday.

Sneha Old age Home"Some people strengthen the society just by being the kind of people they are." - John W. Gardner
The above statement can be said about Swamy Reddy and Savitri, who founded Sneha Old Age Home in a shanty, in January, 2002 with a borrowing of INR 70,000 as there were no donors at that time. The best thing about Sneha Old Age Home is that people of any caste, region or religion are provided shelter. The only condition to be inmates is that they should be above the age of 60 years. Retired employees can also be part of Sneha Old Age Home who are being disrespected and neglected by their family members and the only condition for them to get admission here is that someone should bring them here and get admitted. That someone could be anyone; be it a family member, relative, village elder or even elected representative. There is no fee or any kind of charges for inmates.
